Installation is remarkably easy with the sender unit fitted in the hose line, just before or after the pump, nothing is fitted to the tank. This eliminates the problem of having to remove the tank, drill holes, remove filings, seal sender holes, ongoing cleaning/maintenance.

Fitting recessed display
The LCD Polarised Display on this new model is designed to be only visible when viewed from an angle just below horizontal.
When viewed from this angle the display is extremely clear.
Using the display as a template mark out hole and cut to suit.
Fix in position with bolts provided or suitable screws.
Connecting Sender Unit
Sender unit comes pre-wired with an approximately 1.4m cable. Extra 1.4m extension leads are available for the three pin plugs, up to 6 leads may be joined to make 9.8m in total length. Leads cannot be cut and joined, doing so will void warranty, No Exceptions. The thread specifications of the sender unit are 1/2" BSP male. Make sure the sender is fitted with the water flow in the direction of the arrow. You will need to purchase two 1/2" BSP female connectors to the size hose you have, usually 1/2" or 3/4" and two clamps. “John Guest quick connections” also have fittings to suit their hose and the 1/2" BSP sender unit.
Connection to 12 Volt DC
Simply cut off the two pin 12v plug to the required length and connect the black wire to the negative terminal and the red wire to the positive power source.
Programming Monitoring Capacity
Press "DISPLAY" button to turn display on, then press the "PROG" button, "ProG" will blink on the LCD display. Press and release "RESET" button to choose the value of the right digit. Once the value has been chosen, press "PROG" button to save the value, it will then go to the next digit. Repeat the above procedure to program the values for the five digits from right to left. The maximum monitoring capacity is 99,999 litres. The first time the meter is used fill the water tank and then use normally until empty. Then note how many usable litres the tank holds and reset the meter accordingly.
*If there is no input for one minute during the programming procedure, the programming procedure will be terminated and goes back to the original status.
Operating
The TOPARGEE H2Flow will automatically turn on and display the litres remaining when there is water flowing through the sensor e.g. a tap is turned on. It will automatically turn off 10 seconds after there is no water flowing. To manually check remaining litres, press and release “Display” button and remaining litres will be displayed for 10 sec.
End of Capacity Alert
The TOPARGEE H2Flow will give an audible alert and the digits blink on the LCD display when the remaining capacity reaches zero or minus.
Resetting
When the water tank has been refilled. Press "DISPLAY" button to turn display on, then press the "RESET" button for five seconds, the "rESEt" on the LCD display blinks twice and the buzzer will sound, the unit will then be reset to the originally programmed value. TIP! You may find it easier to use the side of your fingernail or coin etc. to hold the button in for the five seconds.

Screen turns on but amount does not change:
- Is the snake at the top of the screen moving when water flows? Normal condition.
- Is water flow in the direction of arrow? Refit sender in direction of flow.
- Teflon tape or something caught in impeller? This can be shavings from holes drilled in the tank at some stage. Remove carefully.
- Have the sender wires been cut and joined? No warranty!
- Try not using the extension lead, if fitted. (remove sender and plug into 1.4mt lead from display and blow into lightly to check)
- Press both buttons at the same time and release, H22 should be displayed. If “H22” is not displayed, keep pressing and releasing the Display button until “H22” is displayed. Wait until the screen turns off and the unit will memorise the setting. This is the correct code for the ½’ sender supplied with these models.
- Screen turns on and snake at top of screen moves but amount does not change. See Item No 6 above.
- Check if Ltr is displayed in the bottom right hand corner. See below to change.
Display is reading 1 litre for every 3-5 litres, Etc.
- If your display is out by a large amount it is usually because it is reading in gallons (see next section), the other reason could be that you have managed to change the sender codes (see item 6 above to reset).
To change from litres to gallons or gallons to litres:
- There is a small Ltr or Gal next to the amount displayed to show which mode you are in.
- Disconnect the power (or batteries)
- Press and hold the “PROG” button while reconnecting the power.
- Release the button after you hear the long beep. The display will be switched (from litres to gal, or gal to litres)
- Wait until the screen turns off and the unit will memorise the setting.
Why can't I fit the sender before the pump?

If you have no room after the pump, the sender can be fitted before the pump. The only reason we stopped recommending it is if you do not tighten all connectors properly and there is a tiny pin hole, air will enter the hose line and the water will drain back into the tank. If the sender is fitted on the pressure side any leaks become obvious. So basically it can be fitted either side of the pump if everything is fitted correctly.
No Display:
- AA battery models: Batteries fitted wrong way. Remove and replace correctly.
- 12v Models: Connected in reverse. Connect red wire to positive and black to negative.
Screen flashes on when no water is being used:
- This can sometimes happen if the magnet in the sender stops next to the Hall Effect sensor inside the sender unit and there is any slight movement in the RV. Simple solution is to open and close a tap quickly to move the impeller to a different position.
- Another choice is to turn the pump off if the 12v power for the display is coming from the same circuit (this is the recommended power source for the H2F-FM 12v model).
- Another cause of this problem is if the water pipe does not have any water in it and the impeller is free to turn in air. This can sometimes happen if the sender is fitted to the inlet side (suction side) of the pump. In this case turn the display power off. All settings and quantity will be memorised.
- If the sender is fitted to the suction side of pump and there is a slight drop in pressure caused by an old pump (unable to hold prime), air getting into line or severe corrugations could all cause the unit to flash on. This is another reason we recommend the sender be fitted to the pressure side of pump.
Screen turns red: (H2F-FM only)
- This will happen if the battery voltage drops below 9 volt.
- When quantity reaches 000 or -001 the display will turn red and buzzer will sound
