       Lifeline GPL-27T - 12 Volt - 100Ah - 575CCA

Marine Deep Cycle AGM Battery (GPL-27T)

Lifeline Batteries produces the highest quality AGM batteries for Marine/Boat and RV/Recreational Vehicle applications. Today, there are three distinct types of lead acid batteries manufactured for boats, yachts, watercraft, RVs, and recreational vehicles. Any one type of battery can be designed and built for either starting or deep cycle applications. These types are flooded acid, gelled acid, and Advanced AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat). There are various quality levels available in each type. Price is dependent upon the perceived quality as well as the product design, processing, and manufacturing costs. Lifeline Batteries produces the highest quality AGM batteries for Marine/Boat and RV/Recreational Vehicle applications. Each sealed lead acid Marine/RV battery is hand crafted in the United States. For the past 15 years, Lifeline Battery has been a leader in research, development and production of sealed lead acid batteries for the US Navy and US Air Force. Their current LIFELINE series is designed for marine, RV (Recreational Vehicles), UPS, inverter stand-by and photovoltaic applications in order to correct many of the shortcomings of the sealed gel (GEL-CELL) batteries.

LIFELINE AGM construction maintains the sealed aspects of gel batteries while reducing their chronic recharge sensitivity. In addition, LIFELINE AGM technology increases Amp-Hrs., Cranking Performance, Reserve Capacity, Depth of Cycle and Cycle Life over gel technology.

    Feature:

    • Superior Construction (Aircraft class cell construction)
    • Unmatched Life Cycles (Approx. 1000 Life Cycles at 50% discharge. Flooded and Gell batteries fall between 300-450 Life Cycles at 50% discharge)
    • Rapid Recharge (Facilitate high current limitation when voltage properly regulated)
    • Low Self Discharge (Approx. 2% per month V's 10% for other batteries)
    • No Gassing (under normal charging conditions)
    • Maintenance Free
    • Military Spec (Shock and Vibration)
    • Long Service Life (Routinely 5-8 years)
    • 5 years warranty (one year then 4 years pro-rata)
    • * Conditions apply - see below

    *Warranty Disclaimer

Users needing high Amp Hour battery banks (e.g. larger boats, motorhomes, solar installations, etc) should use series/parallel or series banks. This is one reason that manufacturers make 6 and 2 volt batteries.

Parallel battery banks, irrespective of how big or how good the batteries, will suffer from ‘imbalance’, that is the individual batteries will be at different states of charge. As the bank is cycled the difference grows larger until one or more of the batteries fail. Often the user will not be aware of this and the remaining ‘good’ battery(s) will be heavily cycled, until they too, prematurely fail (‘Domino effect’).

Series or series/parallel (three or less in parallel) will cycle more evenly; the result is better performance and longer life.

Safety, with parallel multiple batteries, is also an issue. Should a battery in a parallel bank go ‘short circuit’, the remaining batteries will attempt to discharge a dangerous amount of current into the shorted one, the result can easily be a explosion or fire!.

FEDERAL BATTERIES DOES NOT RECOMMEND PARALLEL BATTERY INSTALLATIONS BEYOND THREE BATTERIES AND WARRANTY COVERAGE IS NOT EXTENDED TO PARALLEL FITMENT BEYOND THREE

    • PARALLEL CHARGING – MULTIPLE BATTERIES.
Experience and history have shown that parallel battery banks (more than three in parallel) will have reduced life and a high failure rate.
